  1. Rational Rose Views

Use Case view: Use-case diagrams, sequence diagrams, collaboration diagrams, conceptual models (use the "class diagram" option), and activity diagrams
Logical view: Design class diagrams and statechart diagrams
Component view: Component diagrams
Deployment view. Only ONE deployment view

  1. Use Case Diagram:

    * Packages: (e.g. Surveyor Interface, Respondent Interface, Admin Interface)
    * Add a button in the vertical tool bar: Right-Click -> Customize
    * Add use cases and actors
    * Share use cases (e.g. Login): Use drag-and-drop in the Views folders.
    * Use case relationships (e.g. includes, excludes, and communicates)
    * Link a file to a use case
    * Add a Note in a diagram
    * Labels in diagrams (e.g. Team 502-1)
    * Delete an element completely: Edit -> Delete from model, or right-clicking the element in the view folders -> Delete. The Delete key will not delete it from the model.
    * Delete an element from a diagram: Delete key or Edit -> Delete

  2. Conceptual Models:

    * Right-Click Use Case View folder -> New -> Class Diagram
    * Show concepts just as boxes: Right-click -> options -> suppress attributes, and suppress operations
    * Delete an attribute. The Edit option nor the Delete keys work. Use the Backspace key and delete the label, then it will ask you if you want to delete it.
    * Multiplicity
    * Relationships

  3. Print: use "Fit to page" option.
  4. Tools->Web publisher tool
