I am a practicing technologist and management professional. I have worked in various roles, as a manager, technologist and subject matter expert, for 8+ years in telecom software, business applications, industrial control and electronics industry. During this time I have directed large technical teams and projects. Computer systems, software and managing technology business are my areas of expertise.
At present I am completing my PhD. After this, I intend to go back to work in industry. For last 4 years I am in academic research and have couple of publications. My research work are in: semantic technologies, networking, distributed systems, operating systems, software engineering, real-time, energy aware systems and information systems.
In past I was awarded the National Council of Educational Research & Training Scholarship by Government of India. I had taught at graduate level for 3 years in management institutes and universities as part time faculty. I am a certified Information System Professional in Canada. My past and present professional and honor society memberships are with Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston, IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Engineering Management Society, TiE Austin & TiE Houston and Phi Kappa Phi.
At present I am administering a scholarship fund to support needy school students in India. This program is supporting 16 school children. In past I had worked and volunteered for non profit organizations like: BAIF, Oxfam, Global Action Network, Akshaya Patra, a non profit organization providing 1000,000 meals each day to deprived school children in India. I have lived, studied, worked and volunteered in three different countries: US, Canada and India.
